The B&W Photography Project no. 4

Dead tree

Dead Tree - The Mendips // 76sunflowers
Last Sunday we blew away the cobwebs on The Mendips.
Jutting out of the landscape we spotted this rather striking, yet sad looking, tree; branches ravaged, bark peeling, stark and cold.
Reaching out for help?
Definitely crying out to be captured in monochrome.

  1. Ooh I do love trees like this, still standing, defying age and death to stay standing! #bwphotoproject

  2. A very striking photo and the black and white really does bring out the starkness of it.

  3. Beautiful melancholic image. It does look like crying for help.

  4. Great shape, it almost looks like it's about to come alive and walk off :)

    Such a striking shot. I love it x #bwphotoproject

  7. I love gnarly old trees in black and white - yes it's stark but so much character #bwphotoproject

  8. That works so well and it looks tortured by the wind.

I appreciate all comments, thank you! x x
